EMS Class Hub helps EMS instructors and programs keep track of their students. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. In short: student records belong to the program that entered them, we use them only to run the service, and we never sell them.
What we collect
- Account information: the email address you sign in with, and the name and time zone of your program.
- Student records your program enters: names, contact details, student ID numbers, cohort enrollment, attendance and any other information instructors add.
- Billing information: if you buy a paid plan, our payment processor Stripe collects your card or invoice details. We see the plan, payment status and billing email, never your full card number.
- Basic technical data: sign-in records and server logs (such as IP address and browser type) that keep the service secure and working.
EMS Class Hub is not meant for patient information. Please don't enter patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers or other protected health information.
Student education records (FERPA)
Student information entered by a school or program may be an education record under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). For those records we act as a “school official” working on the program's behalf, under the program's direct control. That means:
- The program owns its student records and decides who on its team can see them.
- We use the records only to provide EMS Class Hub to that program.
- We don't share them with anyone else, except the service providers listed below or when the law requires it.
- Students who want to see or correct their records should contact their program, which can export or edit them at any time.
How we use information
- To run the service: sign you in, show your program's data, and save your changes.
- To send the emails the service needs, like sign-in links, team invites and billing receipts.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and understand which features get used.
We never sell personal information, never use student records for advertising, and never build marketing profiles of students.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of companies to host and run EMS Class Hub. Each only gets what it needs for its job:
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Vercel: website hosting
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: sending sign-in and invite emails
- Cloudflare: domain and email forwarding
Data is stored in the United States.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS, data is encrypted at rest by our database host, and every program's records are walled off from every other program's at the database level. Sign-in uses one-time email links, so there are no passwords to steal.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your program's data while your account is open. If you downgrade, your data stays readable and exportable. A program admin can ask us to delete the program and all its records by emailing contact@emsclasshub.com; we'll do it within 30 days, apart from billing records we must keep for tax purposes.
Children
EMS Class Hub is for instructors and program staff. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email program admins. Questions? Email contact@emsclasshub.com. See also our Terms of service.
